Cabin Fever

It has been so warm here in good ol' Gilbert lately, that we were more than thrilled to go up to Kari and Kyle's cabin and enjoy the nice weather. The temp never got over 70 degrees while we were there. It was perfect. The kids played outside for hours with no complaints. Gotta love the fact that you don't really have to worry about them just playing freely outside. They played a lot of baseball and made a "Garden" just off the porch.

Grammy with all the Grandkids (except Campbell) She was bundled up inside!!!

We enjoyed making smores by the fire and telling stories about "skippy" the skunk that had come to visit us the night before. Aunt Kari was taking out the trash and surprised a skunk in the trash who decided to spray the whole porch. I thought I knew how skunk spray smelled.....boy was I wrong. It is about 100 worse when it is up close and personal and not just a passing whiff in the breeze after someone runs one over. YUUUUUUKKKKK!!!! We could hardly breath that night. ANywho, the smell was gone the next night but we were trying to convince ourselves that there might be a small colony of them living under the front porch!!
We played a lot of Skip Bo and ate way too much as usual. I guess that's what cabin trips are all about!!

We can't wait until next time!!!
