So what do you do when your baby turns 5??It meant that it was time to have her first official friends Birthday party. Hadley is in love with dogs. When I say she is in love with dogs, I mean SHE REALLY LOVVEEESS DOGS!! So , since we were not going to be talked into buying her a real dog, we did the next best thing. We had a puppy themed Birthday party. Lettie deemed the party Puppy Palooza since we were going a little crazy with it. It was so much fun to plan. Good thing I started collecting things in June. It took me a while to pull in all the things I wanted.
Each of the party guests got to pick out their own dog, pick out a collar for it and then give it a Name and make it's own official Birth Certificate. After their dog was official they could go to the vet area and give it a little check up.Some of the little girls were sooo cute while they were checking to make sure their dogs were healthy.
All the kids also got to pick out their favorite set off puppy ears and Addyson helped transform a few of our party guests into face painted pups.
After everyone picked a dog, we split the boys and girls up and played our own version of musical chairs, but instead we used doggie footprints and had the kids crawl through our homemade dog house and whoever was left in the dog house at the end was the winner!!
The next game was our version of Pint the tail on the donkey, but instead the kids used paw prints to see who could get one right in the middle of the doggie dish!! 
When your are having a puppy themed party you of course have to have dog themed food as well. We had Hot dogs and bone shaped cookies and the kids got to snack on graham cracker doggie bones.Every kid got their own dog bowl to eat out of and then take home. It was hilarious to see everyone eating out of dog dishes. 
After some yummy doggie chow, we let the kids volunteer to take a picture in the dog house with the official honorary guest Shasha. When we got the kids together to take a group picture, they were all barking in unison, without us cuing them on. Too funny. Wish i would have had it on video.
Rex won the award for best dog actor. He was in character the entire time and was the best little poser. 
Thanks to my friend Catherine for bringing her little dog Sasha and taking pictures for me. Sasha was the hit of the party. Hope my kids don't get any ideas.
Last on the party game list, was the outside Doggie Dig. The kids got about 30 secs each to dig for toys and candy and little prizes.
One of my favorite things I found for the party were these plastic dog bones with bone shaped crayons inside!! These were the little thank you gifts for the kids to take home and put their little puppy in. We even shredded newspaper as the filler inside.
Hadley doesn't like cake so my neighbor gave me the idea to use donut house as pretend dog food. I found this perfect bowl and just added Hadley's name to it on a bone made out of modeling clay.
What a fun little party for a special and sweet little girl. Thanks to aunt Lettie for
staying until midnight and helping me set everything up and
pulling all the tables and ideas together.

Your hired, best kids party ever! My girls would have loved to have gone. I can tell how much time you spent on that bad boy. Such great ideas. Too bad Ella doesn't want a puppy party. i would not have to come up with a single idea. :)
