Dave just started the fire academy on Monday and is loving every minute that he gets to be outside in the chilly 112 F. temps here in good ol' AZ. Today they spent a little too much time outside and he ended up needing to get an IV to get re-hydrated. Gotta love that!!! Only 64 days left until he graduates, but who's counting.
Dave's last day at the police department was on Saturday. He had been there just over 5 years, but was eager to make a career change that would be better for our family. I am definately looking forward to having him back on some weekends. He has had to work weekends for the past 5 years. Luckily on his last day at work his co-workers decided to send him off w/ a little going away present. See picture below!!!
They removed all the tires, put it up on cynder blocks, took out the seats and replaced them w/ office chairs and hung Hadley's Elmo Birthday pinata out try die and horrible death in the scortching heat.
What ever happened to a nice going away lunch or a slice of cake??????? These guys must've really been sad to see him go.!!!!!!
