Nama turns 60

This title should read " Nama Turns 60 and we make a fool of ourselves."
My mom, otherwise known as "Nama" turned 60 January 26th!!!

So of course we had to celebrate!! My mom is a twin and sometimes I forget that, so her party was supposed to be a twin celebration, but unfortunately her twin brother Nathan wasn't able to be there.

My sister Naomi made arangements for this cute cake.

Why Did I turn out so short next to these giants??My mom had many family family and friends who came

to help her celbreate "Getting Old"

They decided to put together a book of memories instead of gifts. Here is the

page I made for the book.

So what would a 60th Birthday without entertainment be right??

Well, there was Neil Diamond and Elvis Presley playing in the

back ground, but that wasn't going to cut it!! So Lettie and I , thanks to

some inspiration from Minda and Jill decided we would do our

own version of a spoof from SNL about the Lennon Sisters that used

to appear on the Lawernce Welk Show (a show that was from my mom's generation..Perfect).

So we haeaded to DI to get some outfits... Then it was off to the

costume store to get blonde wigs for everyone.

Believe it or not we practiced for about 3 hours until we

thought we had it down. We couldn' use the music form SNL becuase we

were on a time crunch and were adding our own

versus to the song to adapt it to my mom's Birthday.

Anyway , once it was all over and done with

my mom was thrilled that we had made a fool

of ourselves for her Birthday. These dresses were so non flattering. If you recognize

any of these dresses from your closet, it is time to do some spring cleaning.

Here we are gearing up to make our Debut!! Lettie was the ODD sister

in the skit. Naomi is usually the performer/crazy one in the family,

but for some strange reason she was not excited to perform in

front of a bunch of people. Here is one of our Practice runs.I thought I'd post it since it goes all the way to the end,

since our actual performce was cut off at the end.
